Teaching Philosophy
Alone we can do so little. Together we can do so much. – Helen Keller
“There is no “I” in team”. We usually hear this saying when someone is talking about a team, but for me, this is where my teaching philosophy begins….
While looking at my teaching manifesto you may find a common trait; as I did. My beliefs all surround around the fact that classroom is a team. I belive that a classroom is like a big team. We all come together to grow, build relationships, and make sure everyone feels included. Just as a team would. As a teacher, I have to be a team with my staff members. Being a good teammate means being there for your peers and allowing them to come to you in a time of need. As a teacher you also have to do this with your staff members. You want to bulid realtioships and grow. Teachers all have common end goal and that is to teacher and better their students, so working as a team is very benifical. I also need to be a good teammate with my students. We are here to grow from each other and build a relationship in a welcoming environment. If I as the teacher am not working with the students than we will accomplish little and I truly believe that a student can not learn without a teacher just as a teacher can not learn without a student. We learn from out students everyday and this is what allows us to be better as educators and grow into the teachers we want to see ourselves as.
We are a team, and there is no “I” in team.
